Summary

Under the British Common Standard for Self Catering properties BRIDGE END FARM achieve FOUR and FIVE Star rating. Part of the Standard is that all critical areas of the property; cleanliness, living areas, bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen must each achieve a grade commensurate with the overall rating.

Following this assessment the establishment meets these requirements, enabling the rating indicated above to be confirmed.

An exceptionally well presented and maintained site. Most sympathetic conversions of previous farm buildings set courtyard style around a cobbled yard. Two garden areas are shared by guests, one being walled, with the second area reaching down to the private river bank, both are very well tended with attractive planted areas and very good wood outdoor furniture. The Farmhouse enjoys an enclosed private garden. Ample parking for all cars with outdoor areas providing ample night lighting. A most peaceful and rural location enjoyed nestling within the fells and with local amenities within walking distance

The cottages continue to present very well indeed. The largest property, The Farmhouse, is very traditional in style and finished with stone flagged floors, exposed beams and wood paneling. Most comfortably furnished and offering very good space for the number of guests accommodated. Original wooden flooring to bedrooms is an excellent feature. The bathrooms offer an excellent finish.

Scafell and Wastwater, again both larger family properties, offering more than ample space. The through lounges and open plan style ensure a light and airy feel although these properties also offer stone walls and exposed beams.

The four properties which accommodate 2 guests each, Hardknott, Whillan Beck, Wrynose and Stanley Ghyll, also presented to a high standard. Very comfortably furnished, and all offering ample space.

The very good sized laundry facility offers two washers and two dryers.

Bridge End Farm Cottages continue to achieve the four and five star ratings, which is as expected and an overall very good to excellent standard of holiday accommodation continues to be offered.
