8 + cot

Set aside with its own private walled garden, the luxury five star Farmhouse holiday cottage forms part of Lakeland history. As you step inside, you will be amazed to see the original flagstone flooring, 16th century Queen Anne court cupboard, and a hearty wood-burning stove, in which peat off the local fells would have been burned to keep the farmer and his family warm!  Today, we have our new wood burning stove in the lounge and a supply of dry wood for our guests to use as well as full central heating to keep you cosy and warm. We have also just finished installing a brand new, stylish, state of the art kitchen this year!

This spacious 5 star cottage in Eskdale has four bedrooms, two twin bedrooms and two doubles with kingsize beds, one of which has its own ensuite bathroom. There is also a large family bathroom upstairs with separate claw foot bath and shower, and an additional shower room downstairs.

Our luxury Lake District cottage, which sleeps 8 + cot, is ideal for larger groups or families. Downstairs has a large living room, separate dining room, fully fitted, brand new kitchen (installed in early 2018!) and a shower room and toilet.  As well as is what was formerly the dairy, in which you can store your boots and backpacks when you return from the day’s escapades.

The Jacobean Court Cupboard in the lounge was a wedding present to William and Agnes Nicholson in 1703 and both the lounge and dining room have extensive oak panelling. Oak floorboards upstairs complement the Farmhouse flagstone floors downstairs.  Outside is a private garden exclusive to the Farmhouse for enjoying evening barbecues.
